All Hail Rhubarb! That sensationally tangy and hardy herbaceous perennial that pleasantly colors morsels pink and adds early summer zing! We Minnesotans make our cakes, muffins, sauces and give it away by the arm loads. Rhubarb, it seems, is the harbinger of warm weather and the first garden harvest of the year. All Hail Rhubarb!
In the spirit of rhubarb’s abundance and how we seem to always have a frozen bag of the stuff to use from last year, each print comes with a recipe tucked into the sleeve! In fact, the simple recipe included is one my Grandma Gerda made with tasty zeal for many years. It was the perfect accompaniment to our pancakes.
This digitally collaged illustration is printed locally on 130# eggshell paper and the size is 11" x 14".
